On Building Confidence

To have confidence, practice kindness. Be of service to others. Becoming a volunteer,  without expecting a reward, will build massive confidence.

Tell people that are of service to you that you appreciate them. Whether at the gas station, supermarket, or restaurant – with sincerity in your heart, tell these people you are thankful for their service and support.

When you see a child, smile, when you see someone looking good, let them know it respectfully. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself to someone you see often, but do not talk to. If that person has a new style to their look, let them know you notice politely. It doesn’t matter if they respond or not, trust me, you just made their day.

In my humble opinion, when I am of service to others, join an organization that I believe in and take an active role, my confidence swells, and I feel good about myself and the others I am in contact with.

Service to others, and connecting with people in meaningful ways will build confidence more than reading any book, or watching an inspirational film. Bonding with other people in service to them is the best confidence builder I have experienced in my over 50 years on this planet.

Be of service with gratitude and love in your heart. Put on your best clothes and grooming, smell clean, and whenever you shake hands look the person in the eye and smile. They will know you are confident because you are doing what is in your heart.

Please give these things a try, and if you need any further assistance, write back – it would be an honor to be of service to you.

With love and gratitude in my heart, Michael.
